Your data, and what happens if we are not here
Two fair questions get asked before anything else. Both have a straight answer.
Where the data is
Depot 17 runs in the European Union — the Netherlands — and the database sits on storage in that same region. Nothing is moved elsewhere to be processed.
Who can see it
Each organisation’s data is fully isolated from every other. Inside your organisation, access is limited by role and by city, so an administrator sees their own city and no more. Every change is written to an audit log.
Backups leave encrypted
Copies kept on our own server are treated as part of the live system. Anything that leaves it is encrypted first with AES-256-GCM, using a key the storage provider never receives — so the provider holds a file it cannot read. Backups were deliberately moved off third-party messengers for this reason.
You can leave with everything
One button in the admin panel produces a single Excel file: cities, vehicles, drivers, trips, fuel stops, the service log, projects, contacts, delivery tasks with their status history and documents, and the audit log. With the contracts and assets modules on it carries their registers, handover acts, moves, repairs, write-offs, stocktakes, stock and directories too, and a second button downloads a ZIP of every scan and photograph you uploaded. You do not have to ask us for it, and there is no waiting period.
What we do not claim
Depot 17 is a young product from a small team — pretending otherwise would be the wrong way to earn a fleet’s records. There are no security certifications to show yet. What removes the risk is not a promise that we will always be here: it is that your data stays exportable in a standard format, in full, at any moment, without our involvement.
